Las Canteras beach is over three kilometres long and protected by a natural barrier of reefs about 200 metres from the shore. It’s the most important city beach in the Canary Islands. Excellent conditions encourage many water sports. The promenade is ideal for enjoying walks and spending time at the many pavement cafes, restaurants and shops that reflect the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s intercultural idiosyncrasy.
